WJB Knuckle Assembly

WJB STEERING KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY

Pre-pressed, Bolt-on Solution

The Challenge

The traditional way of Generation 1 Wheel Bearing Installation requires the installer to remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle, remove the snap ring, press the wheel hub out of the bearing with specialized equipment in order to prevent damage to the steering knuckle, and then press the old wheel bearing out of the knuckle. After that perform appropriate inspection and clean-up of any debris, burrs or nicks on the knuckle and seating surface for the new bearing which can be time consuming. Finally, press the new wheel bearing into the steering knuckle and set up for the rest of the installation.

As there are a number of things to watch for, failure to do so increases the chances of damaging the bearing or the steering knuckle. Accumulated rust and debris on the original parts can largely increase the repair time and difficulty.

Saving on Time and Labor Cost

50-75% Repair Time

The WJB Steering Knuckle Assembly eliminates the most challenging steps of pressing the old wheel hub out of bearing, pressing the old bearing out of the steering knuckle and pressing in the new parts as all components come pre-assembled out of the box.

The All-inclusive Kit – all components required for a complete installation are included. Remove the hassle of sourcing the necessary components separately. It also drastically reduces rust-related issues during the repair which is a big time saver.

Eliminate Risks

Bearing Press Procedures generally have associated risks that include improper seating, which can lead to a damaged bearing or knuckle. The WJB Steering Knuckle Assembly comes pre-assembled and eliminates any risk related to improper press usage and seating alignment.

Factory Coated Knuckle – the Steering Knuckle comes with specialized coating that minimizes the risk of rust and prolongs a part’s life cycle.

Safety & Efficiency

Most modern vehicles have exposed suspension which leave suspension parts, such as the steering knuckle, susceptible to damage caused by various road hazards. Such hazards include rust build-up which can potentially lead to cracked knuckles, seized bolts or damaged wheel bearings. Replacing the entire assembly at once not only makes the whole repair efficient in time and cost but also guarantees all parts to perform optimally in any condition.
